Kody started racing in October 2012 at Cactus Park BMX. Once he started, he has never stopped. Kody races 6 days a week and practices on the 7th. His goal is to make the U.S. Olympic team for the 2024 Olympics. Kody is an active member on Phantom Development BMX and strives to make a factory team within the next 2 years. He is currently in 4th grade and enjoys math and science. Kody loves BMX and bike riding in general. He and his friends are working on a small dirt track in our backyard.
Hope to see everyone at the track!
I was born February 6th 2008, at three days old I found out that I had a heart defect (Tetralogy of Fallot) on May 20th 2008 I had my first open heart surgery. They fixed two holes in my heart one in the upper chambers and one in the lower chambers. They also had to remove the pulmonary valve as it wasn't working right! At six months old I had a stent put in my pulmonary artery as it was to small from the heart defect. Over the next few years I had many other surgeries and found other medical problems. Male rotation of the intestance at which they need to remove all your intestance remove your appendix and then remap your intestance so they don't twice killing your intestance. I also have severe acid reflux that I continue to take medication for and 30% blockage of my air way that they will not do anything for because of my acid reflux. On November 1st 2013 I went in for my 17th surgery 2nd open heart surgery to put in the pulmonary valve that I haven't had for over 5 years. In March 2014 my doctor gave me clearance to do any activities that I wanted!
I have always loved bicycles and riding with my dad. So dad and I went to Kearney BMX park on March 12th 2014 to check it out and on March 14th I raced my first race. We have been racing ever since. On July 20th 2014 I got my tenth win in East Moline, IL in front of my Uncle Larry and in my dad's home state. We try to ride as many different tracks as we can and I continue to try my hardest and do my best.
Other activities: karate, guitar, drums
