Mission
Our mission is to bring the highest quality, most technologically advanced products to the world of BMX and Freestyle and stay true to the principals Standard was founded on: Quality, Integrity, Pride, Made in the USA.
Inception
Founded in 1991 in Davenport, Iowa, Standard Byke Company was conceived out of the down turn in quality of BMX products being produced in the late 1980′s. The Standard philosophy was to create quality products, made in the USA and back them up with riders who knew and used the products on a daily basis. Thus creating an environment in the industry that had never been seen before, a company that rode, tested and improved on its product line on a monthly, weekly sometimes daily basis for the improvement of the product and the advancement of the company; for the good of the sport.
Progression
Early on, Standard tried to move ahead of the pack and add some innovations to the sports or BMX and freestyle. In 1992, the Bicycle MotoCross frame, and soon to follow STA, were the first BMX production frames to utilize the threadless fork/stem combo thus changing the industry over night, forever. Innovations in production, design, marketing, advertising and promotion fueled by one the most epic teams in the history of the sport, Standard thrived and grew and dominated.
Re-Visioning
As the industry changes, the focus of the company has been adapted to met the demands of an ever changing industry. In 2007, the Standard Manufacturing facility was opened in Davenport, Iowa. Bringing all production in house has allowed Standard to change the industry once again by offering customers an "On Demand" option to create their own custom frames as well as still innovate and adapt production frames to meet the needs of the modern riders. -
X-Fusion is focused on a simple concept: build high quality, all metal suspension systems that provide a higher level of performance and durability. Take a look at our Velvet forks for example. Inside the Velvet RL you will see a fully-adjustable CNC’ed-machined damping cartridge, lightweight full-air spring system, as well as all aluminum knobs and adjusters. And it’s not just the Velvet forks that get this kind of treatment. From the Vengeance to the O2 shock line to the Hilo dropper post, there is no denying the attention to detail and the focus on quality.
The X-Fusion brand was started in 1999, but the company had been manufacturing suspension products for at least 10 years prior to that. With a 20-year history in suspension, it’s no surprise the level of attention provided to every detail. In the past 5 years, we have greatly expanded our product line, established a global support network and made huge gains in overall market share. Just ask companies like Cannondale, Specialized, Ibis, Jamis, GT and others. These brands rely on X-Fusion to provide the highest levels of performance possible.
Recent changes within X-Fusion include the move of our US R&D office to Santa Cruz, CA. Besides being in the new mecca of mountain biking, the area provides the ultimate testing grounds for new products. The ability for concepts and ideas to hit the trail the same day they are conceived translates into products to you, the consumer, that lead the industry in quality, performance and durability. -

Today, 100% is about to inspire a whole new generation of
racers and ask them the original tag line,

The World Leader in Grip Technology…
This is not just a slogan to us. Over the past 25 years, we have dedicated ourselves to providing the best there is to offer in our products. This includes our proprietary compounds which have been extensively researched and tested by top athletes around the world to ensure that they provide the highest level of comfort and longevity possible. We are also the innovators of the Lock-On Grip system, which innovated the way in which grips are installed and secured to the handlebars and still remains the worldwide standard for grips. This is also the reason that we have chosen to continue producing our products exclusively in the USA in our own facility. While other manufacturers are scurrying to the lowest possible cost producer overseas, we remain dedicated to maintaining the highest possible product quality facilitated by our long term relationships we have developed with our suppliers. -
