    Preston began his BMX journey as a BMX League rider in September of 2019 completing the 6 week course and by November 2019 he had graduated from the League and began his official open race career with USA BMX. Come 2020, Preston has had a very successful 1st year in BMX despite the obstacles and effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic coupled with some personal development and hurdles as an advancing rider. He has persevered and is navigating through the ins and outs of BMX quite well. Preston seems to have truly found his niche in the BMX world of sports and is excelling as a BMX rider, starting the 2020 season as a Novice rider and ending the 2020 season as an Expert rider. Preston is excited for what will unfold for the 2021 year and season. Accomplishments Year 2020 (1st Year in BMX): 1st Place NC State Championship Participated in R.O.C (made it to Semis) and Grand Nationals (made it to Mains, 8th place) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In the Top 10 for District NC01, earning the District 2 plate for the up-and-coming 2021 season.  Accomplishments Year 2021 (2nd Year in BMX): 1st Place NC State Championship Gold Cup 2, Southeast Division UCI Qualifier, 9 Boys Challenge Received National Opens Jacket Featured in Pull Magazine NAG 5 NAT 63

    Hi! I'm Cali Kopetskie and I've been racing BMX since I was three and a half years old. I earned my 10th novice win in fall 2018 and competed at the 2018 USABMX Grands as a 5 and Under Girls Expert. In 2019, as a 6 Girls Expert, I placed second in the ROC and sixth at Grands. I also took seventh in the Grands 6 and Under Mixed Open. In 2020, I won the ROC in 7 Girls Expert. In 2021, I took third in the ROC and fourth in Grands in 8 Girls Expert. In 2022, I took fourth in the ROC in 9 Girls Expert. In 2023, I took sixth at Grands in 10 Girls Expert, and in the ROC I placed fourth in 9-10 Girls Cruiser and sixth in 10 Girls Expert. NAG plates: 2018: #5 (5 Girls Expert) 2019: #3 (6 Girls Expert) 2020: #5 (7 Girls Expert) 2021: #5 (8 Girls Expert) 2022: #6 (9 Girls Expert); #5 (10 and Under Girls Cruiser) 2023: #9 (10 Girls Expert); #9 (9-10 Girls Cruiser) My local track is Burlington BMX in Burlington, North Carolina, where my parents volunteer. I race for Factory SYNDYT/LSG. I have an older brother (Jaxon) and a younger sister (Sophie). I've won the following national events: 2019 Carolina Nationals (2x), 2019 Circle City Nationals (2x), 2019 Sunshine State Nationals, 2020 Labor Day Classic Nationals (3x), 2021 East Coast Nationals (2x), 2022 Tar Heel Nationals (3x), 2022 Hub City Nationals, and 2022 Derby City Nationals, 2023 Blue Ridge Nationals, 2023 Maple Leaf Nationals (3x). My national cruiser wins: 2022 Tar Heel Nationals, 2023 Maple Leaf Nationals (3x).
