2020 was a rough year for BMX because of, well, you know. Tony managed to keep up with practicing, school and Scouts however and finish the season with a #1 State plate and a move up to 16x. Tony started out 2020 with a string of wins at State and GC races in Bakersfield, Lemoore, and Perris Gran Prix. In 2019, Tony earned his #2 State (SoCal) plate at Bellflower, and he earned his #2 Gold Cup plate at Chula Vista. Tony, now a 16x, has been racing actively since Feb. 2018, and coached by Eric Rupe and Mike Day. He rides for Sycamore BMX race team. Tony has a dozen or more district wins, a handful of State wins, handful of National wins. SoCal #1 State plate, SoCal #2 State plate. Gold Cup #2. District #9 plate. Tony rides a tricked Supercross Envy5/Box class bike, a Specialized S-Works mountain bike, and loves his Kx125..

I started racing in April of 2018 at age 13 on my redline pro xxl. After hearing all of my dad's BMX racing stories I was hooked and had to make my own stories. I won my first 6 races at my local track, Whittier Narrows BMX. I was recruited by the Whittier Narrows/Young Guns BMX Team in September of 2019. In January 2020, I recieved a sponsorship from Factory Bassett, Pedal Power and Technique Bmx out of Riverside, CA, just after my move up to Intermediate at age 14. I won my very first National race in Las Vegas at the Silver Dollar Nationals in 2020 at South Point Casino. Current point standings I am number 8 in district, number 2 in state. After classing and aging up just after Grands in Vegas things got real really fast. My goals for 2022 are to secure a place in Semi’s and possibly main’s at Nationals in class and cruiser. I currently ride the very first production Factory Bassett xxxl custom painted frame with serial #00001. I am currently co-sponsored by Answer, Technique, Peddle power and WBR (Wheels Built Right) and Ame grips. I also ride Cruiser class with my Factory Bassett frame with Answer forks and all Technique and Bassett components. I currently train with Emilio Falla, and have trained with Robert Dewild and Christian Bercerine. I am currently working on training for the 2022 Grands.
