I have been battling Crohns disease since 1989. I started riding at the track again for health and fun,but then the competitive part of me took over and started racing. I love the challenge. My main focus of now is building back up my strength and speed as well as my skill sets.

I discovered BMX at the age 11 when a local racer asked if I wanted to help build a track in the field behind my house. I jumped at the chance and spent a lot of time riding back there that summer, but I didn't officially start racing for three more years. My first race was at Casino Beach in Lake Worth, TX, and I managed to come away with a big win in the 14 novice class that day. That was the summer of 1986. I turned Expert a few years later, and then turned pro in 1990. After three nationals and even a few wins, I joined the Army, where I proudly served four years shooting big guns as an artilleryman. In 1994, I resumed racing full-time and turned AA (Elite) in August of 1995. In 2002, I joined the Vet Pro ranks where I stayed for thirteen years. 2015 marked a new chapter in my career as I rejoined the amateur ranks in Expert and Cruiser. BMX has given me a life I could have only dreamed of! I've had the opportunity to experience many different cultures and have made life-long friends all over the globe. I hope to share my passion for riding and help racers of all ages pursue their goals and reach their full potential through the Berm Academy clinic program. Accomplishments: 2002-2007 ABA #1 Vet Pro 2006 UCI Challenge World Champion 30 and over Men/35-39 Cruiser 2007 UCI Challenge World Champion 35-39 Cruiser 2007 NBL Masters Champion 2015 USA BMX National #1 Cruiser

My name is Adam Treadwell and I am the longest running member to ABA/USABMX in Oregon. I started racing a "PeeWee" at my local track at age 3 in 1983, in Medford Oregon at then Bear Creek BMX. I raced her till a move in 1987 took my Mom and I up to Portland where I then got my first official membership in 1988 at Rose City BMX in Clackamas. This was the former famous Riverside BMX. I grew up in the sport from day one. My Mom was the Announcer at Bear Creek BMX as well as Rose City BMX. She Announced from 1978 to 2000 and was often, Treasure, Track President, and always a Board Member. I was even Rose City BMX's Rider Rep at 15 and 16 years old until our track was shut down. My Mom and the last Board of Rose City BMX then set to open a new Track in Portland called Mt. Hood Valley BMX. This track later became Alpenrose BMX in 2001 when my Mom and the board all stepped down and new management took it over. I also began doing clinics and Coaching riders at this time. I of course continued to race through my adult life with many National and State Titles then turning Pro in 2004. I continued at a very competitive Apro and Pro Cruiser then to turn Vet Pro in 2010. I continued being a top Vet Pro with many Podiums and finishing top 4 in the Nation 3 times. Also during this time I decided to give my go at becoming a Track Operator and ran Capitol City BMX in Salem Oregon from 2008 in its birth year to 2012. We were a huge success. In 2012 we held the largest State Final, SCR, and Redline Cup Qualifier, to record. My wife and I then had to step down for a job opportunity in Medford which brought us both back home to Medford. Here I continued to coach and train athletes and continued to run my National BikeShop Team Black Box Ind. that I started in 2011 and continued to be a Nationally ranked team to this day. I have coached Athletes to State, National, Gold Cup, ROC, and World Titles in my Career. I love spreading BMX to families and kids. It is a family sport that I grew up with with my Sister, Brothers, and Mom and now hope to continue to share the love of the Sport with my Wife and former Nationaly Ranked Amateur and my Son. It is bitter sweet that my Son started racing on the same track my Wife and I did all those years ago.
