Bio
Maybelline ‘Mayhem’ Peterson was born in 2008.
Coming from a strong blood line of quad and dirt bike racers; she started in ‘extreme sports’ at a very early age.
In 2010, Maybelline started learning to rider her first quad (Suzuki LT50).
In late 2012, she got her first 3 wheeler – and began mastering the balance of riding with 3 wheels.
In February of 2013, she raced her quad for the first time for the NW Flat Track Series in Monroe, WA and took 1st place.
She returned to the NW Flat Track Series in Monroe, WA for the 2013-2014 season; taking 3rd overall in the 70cc Beginners Quad Class (on her Suzuki LT50) in the series championships.
In February of 2014, Maybelline raced her quad on ice for the first time at Xfinity Ice Arena in Everett, WA – and took 1st place.
Meanwhile, she took the ‘off-season’ to learn how to ride a dirt bike. Starting with training wheels, and eventually ditching them – took just a few short months and she was ready to race a dirt bike at the age of 5!
Again, Maybelline returned to the NW Flat Track Series in Monroe, WA for the 2014-2015 season; taking 4rd overall in the 90cc Beginners Quad Class (on her Suzuki LT80) and 4th overall in the 50cc Beginners Dirt Bike Class (on her pink PW50).
Again, she took the ‘off-season’ to sharpen her skills and enjoy family fun.
January of 2015, Maybelline returned to Xtreme Ice Racing at Xfinity Arena in Everett, WA – and once again, took 1st place racing her quad on ice.
In the Spring of 2015, Maybelline’s family and friends attended the Dirty Poker Run in Mattawa for the first time (a 30-mile long course full of whoops, dirt, sand, mud holes and many other challenges). She only made it a few miles on the course on her quad, but at the age of 6, it was a huge accomplishment to even attempt it. She won an award for being the youngest rider to ride the course, and ended up somewhere in the top of high points on her poker hand!
In the Summer of 2015, Maybelline attended her first BMX race at McCollum Park in Lynnwood, WA and was instantly hooked! By the time she acquired the appropriate race bike and gear necessary, and the parents cleared their schedules, the year was almost over. She was able to make it to 3 or so local BMX races, and 15ish local BMX practices in 2015. At this point, no-one was really sure where BMX fit into the puzzle of her racing adventures.
In the Fall of 2015, Maybelline returned to the Last Chance Poker Run in Mattawa, WA. Over the 2 day event, she was able to complete the 30+ mile course on her quad. She, once again, won an award for being the youngest rider to complete the course.
Once again, Maybelline returned to the NW Flat Track Series in Monroe, WA for the 2015-2016 season (her BEST YET); taking the 1st place championship overall in the 50cc Beginners Dirt Bike Class Class (on her pink PW50) and tying-in points for 2nd overall in the 90cc Beginners Quad Class (on her Suzuki LT80).
January of 2016, Maybelline returned to Xtreme Ice Racing at Xfinity Arena in Everett, WA – and once again, took 1st place racing her quad on ice.
In the Spring of 2016, Maybelline once again attended the Dirty Poker Run in Mattawa, WA. This time, she completed the 30+ mile course, on BOTH DAYS (so 60+ total miles of whoops, dirt, sand, mud holes and many other challenges), on her Suzuki LT80. She won the award for the youngest rider to complete the course; and this time had the 2nd highest poker hand for the event (which was gifted to her by a family friend).
As late-Spring approached in early 2016, Maybelline was ready to hop on a bicycle and hit the BMX tracks. She is racing the State series, as well as actively hitting other local tracks when possible. In late May of 2016, she was asked to join the Diablos Race Team – and of course accepted.
Maybelline plans to continue in her passion of BMX racing; and will be returning to the NW Flat Track Series in Monroe, WA for the 2016-2017 season (and has upgraded to a KTM Pro Senior Dirt Bike this year)! She has also been dabbling in some moto-cross here and there, but with full schedules, we are not sure where that may go at this point.
