I live in Spokane, Washington with my Dad, Mom, and two brothers. Before BMX my main focus was Ski Racing. I spent 4 - 5 days a week on the mountain during the season . I went to multiple Ski Camps throughout the year and was even featured on the news during the winter Olympics. I also played Basketball, Volleyball, and did gymnastics for years.
I never knew about BMX until one day while picking my brother up from soccer practice we just happened to see a race going on behind the soccer fields. A family was standing nearby and told my parents about an upcoming rider league. I said "I'm NOT doing this". My parent's said "We'll see". Sure enough they signed my up. Some of my friends that also Ski Race decided to give it a try with me.
After rider league I raced my first BMX race on October 15, 2022. After 8 races my season ended. I had no idea about State Races, or Gold Cup, or Nationals. Going into 2023 I had two more races before I became intermediate. I also started racing Cruiser that year as well. I spent most of 2023 as an intermediate competing mainly against the boys who pushed me to get faster and I learned how to handle my bike better. I competed in the State Series and Gold Cup that year. In 2024 I went to my first National in Redmond, Oregon. I went on to compete in 8 more Nationals that year and then on to Grands. I participated in some clinics for the first time which helped me tremendously. I absolutely love BMX and I look forward to 2025!
