Labor Day Weekend national moves from Nashville to Rock Hill, SC
As they say "Third Time’s the Charm". Yesterday USA BMX was notified by Nashville city officials that the Music City Nationals originally approved and scheduled for Labor Day weekend was canceled due to new tightened COVID-19 regulations. Astonishingly, in less than twenty-four hours, the City of Rock Hill confirmed that they are able to enthusiastically host the event, now named the USA BMX Labor Day Classic Nationals to take place September 4-6, 2020.
Challenged with a very short window to host the event, USA BMX needed a location in the same region that could quickly prepare for the event and address the demands of hosting a safe race. Rock Hill did a tremendous job hosting the Carolina Nationals and their facility is one of the best to ensure ample social distancing and a safe experience for our BMX family. The Music City BMX crew did everything possible to host the event. We appreciate the incredible effort of their volunteers, and look forward to hosting a national event with them soon.

USA BMX remains committed to the rescheduling or completion of the 2020 National Championship Series Schedule and continues to work extensively with local and state officials to ensure these events can be hosted safely and in line with each state and local community’s reopening plan. The result of these efforts is the creation of a sound operational plan which addresses the concerns of social distancing, sanitation, customer interaction and other event specific modifications.
