Updated Status of Dixieland Nationals & Land O'Lakes Nationals

Due to the continuation of bans on crowd gatherings in Georgia and Minnesota, USA BMX will postpone the Dixieland Nationals (May 8-10) and the Land O'Lakes Nationals (May 15-17) to a later date. As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation, USA BMX will rely on local authorities in each state with regards to cancellation or postponement of scheduled events as safety for our BMX community remains the priority. 


Any rider who pre-registered for these events will receive a refund automatically to their credit card. Additionally, all reservations for hotel rooms for these events through BMXhotels.com will automatically be canceled and the deposit will be refunded.

As of today, the following Nationals that have been postponed/canceled:

  • Spring Nationals - Albuquerque, NM (March 20-22)
  • Carolina Nationals - Rock Hill, SC (March 27-29)
  • Great NW Nationals - Redmond, OR (April 3-5)
  • Cajun Nationals - West Monroe, LA (April 17-19)
  • Golden State Nationals – Santa Clara, CA (May 1-3)
  • Fraser Valley Nationals – Chilliwack, British Columbia (May 8-10) CANCELED

Thursday, April 2 USA BMX/BMX Canada Event Updates

Updated Status of Golden State Nationals & Fraser Valley Nationals

Amidst closed borders and a province-wide ban on gatherings until May 30th, BMX Canada has canceled the Fraser Valley Nationals at Chilliwack Heritage Park in Chilliwack, BC (May 8-10). There are no immediate plans to add an additional event in place of the Fraser Valley Nationals. We are closely monitoring the situation and will update our members to changes to the 2020 BMX Canada National Series as soon as possible.

Additionally, with the recent extension of California school closures until May 4, USA BMX will be postponing the Golden State Nationals scheduled for May 1-3 in Santa Clara, California.  

Any rider who pre-registered for these events will receive a refund automatically to their credit card. Additionally, all reservations for hotel rooms for these events through BMXhotels.com will automatically be canceled and the deposit will be refunded.

Friday, March 20th Event Updates

Cajun Nationals & Derby City Nationals Postponed

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect events across the world, more and more BMX events are being impacted. The Cajun Nationals (originally scheduled for April 17-19) will now be postponed. Additionally, the Derby City Nationals scheduled for September 4-6 are postponed due to the Kentucky Derby now been moved to Labor Day weekend. This decision to not hold the Kentucky Derby and the Derby City Nationals on the same weekend came from strong recommendations by city officials, who fear that our BMX families simply will not have available and/or affordable hotels during that weekend. We are working now to find alternative dates for all postponed events.

Any rider who pre-registered for this event will receive a refund automatically to their credit card. Additionally, all reservations for hotel rooms for this event through BMXhotels.com will automatically be canceled and the deposit will be refunded.

Carolina Nationals Postponed

Amidst the growing number of gathering bans here in the United States and around the world, the Carolina Nationals (March 27-29) have been postponed to a later date. USA BMX will continue to monitor the Covid-19 situation and rely on local authorities in each state with regards to cancellation or postponement of scheduled events as safety for our BMX community remains the priority.
 
Any rider who pre-registered for this event will receive a refund automatically to their credit card.  Additionally, all reservations for hotel rooms for this event through BMXhotels.com will automatically be canceled and the deposit will be refunded. 
Riders who were planning to qualify for Team USA at the 2020 world championships in Albuquerque or Rock Hill should fill out a discretionary nomination located at 
usabmx.com/worlds to be considered.

USA BMX will continue to monitor the Covid-19 situation and rely on local authorities in each state with regards to cancellation or postponement of scheduled events as safety for our BMX community remains the priority.

Any rider who pre-registered for these events will receive a refund automatically to their credit card.  Additionally, all reservations for hotel rooms for these two events through BMXhotels.com will automatically be canceled and the deposit will be refunded. 

Additionally, riders looking to qualify for Team USA at the 2020 world championships may attend the worlds qualifier on Friday of the Carolina Nationals to guarantee their spot on Team USA. Any rider unable to attend or who doesn’t qualify in Rock Hill may fill out a discretionary nomination located at usabmx.com/worlds to be considered.
