Clinton "Lil Shrimp" started racing in August 2022 at his home track in Winchester, VA; a track him and his dad stumbled upon by happenstance.  All it took was one conversation with a track regular before my son was begging me to take him to Walmart so he could get race appropriate attire to participate in the days practice and race; so off we went and we've been going every since.

The journey has been truly amazing.  We have made a lot of wonderful friends along the way and learned some truly amazing lessons by all walks of life and all ages.  While it is a competitive sport during the 60 seconds or so of racing once they cross the finish line it is congratulatory fist bumping and if needed words of encouragement and consoling.  No matter what the circumstance these kids respond accordingly; these acts of sportsmanship are lessons I think we all should learn from.  At the finish line an individual sport becomes a team celebration between the racers and there is just something awe inspirinig about that.  Makes a mommas heart happy to see some comradery amomgst, in most cases, strangers.

This sport has been refreshing and I am so thankful for our On 2 Wheels family and all the people we have met and will continue to meet as we continue cranking pedals.

If you are contiplating the sport, don't.  Just do it.
