Still dusting my bike off from the winter season. No excuses though. I raced hard the weekend of March 5th and 6th. I got 2nd out of 5 riders in 12X in the Relay for Life on Saturday.
Sunday, we decided to enter the Open also and I'm glad I did. There was some fierce competition in my open and I went down on the 1st qualifier with my friend, Trinadee, after the 1st turn. We both wanted our spot out front. I came back and ended up getting 1st in the open. Class was just as tough. I received 3rd out of 9 riders in 12X class.
After a weekend of working hard and fighting it out on the track, I found out that I will be on the Bike Shop Team for MaD Racing at national events. I'm super pumped and still can't quit smiling. I'm working on putting a new bike together and also piecing together a cruiser so I can start racing that for the first time. Working hard, putting in the effort, and getting better equipment.
