The countdown to the Grand Nationals in Chilliwack continues - 5 days to go!!  There is a special training session tonight (Monday), 5:30-7pm for inter/expert riders.  See below for details.  Also, please note practice this week on Wednesday instead of Thursday due to Grands.

Racing & Practice sessions this week

We have practice this week on Tuesday (note earlier start time) and Wednesday (instead of Thursday due to Grands).  No racing this week.   Our final race will be Sunday October 15th.

Inter/expert training session with Mischa and Brandon specifically aimed at getting ready for Grands. $12 per person.
 

Fundraising for a new gate

As some of you may know, we have begun fundraising efforts to purchase and install a new safety gate.  We are very grateful to all that contributed by purchasing a pumpkin this weekend - thank you!!  

We are also looking to talk to companies that may be interested in making a donation or purchasing an advertising slot on the gate itself.  Please contact us if you would like more details.

 

End of Year Awards Banquet, Sunday October 22nd

Riders and family members you are invited to come celebrate rider accomplishments at our annual AWARDS BANQUET on Sunday October 22nd at 3pm at Colwood Community Hall.  We ask all families to bring a dish for the potluck.  Please RSVP and complete the form here: https://goo.gl/Zw1RrN.

Each year we recognize our local riders and say THANK YOU to our many volunteers & community sponsors. There is something special for all riders that attend. Everyone goes home a winner!

AGM, Wednesday November 8th

Please note in your diaries our upcoming AGM on Wednesday November 8th, 6:30-8pm at the Juan de Fuca Clubhouse.  This is where we vote in our new Executive team for the 2018 year.

Voting Procedure
Each fully paid member receives one (1) vote if they are fourteen (14) years of age or older, regardless of how many classes the member rides. Members under the age of fourteen (14) years of age, will have one (1) parent or guardian vote on their behalf, regardless of how many classes the member rides. Associate members will not be permitted to vote at a general meeting, special meeting or annual general meeting. Proxy voting will be permitted upon presentation of written authorization to the President of a voting member in good standing for a designated person to do so, prior to the commencement of the meeting. The proxy vote will only be good for the meeting it has been presented at. There will be a maximum of one (1) proxy vote per voting member.

Please note: If the 14 or older member is not attending, the parent, guardian or designated voter must have a proxy signed by the member.
