2017 USA BMX Tarheel Nationals Race Report
Its Summer time in the south so you know that means high temps and lots of humidity. Luckily a nice breeze arrived just as practice concluded and mellowed out the mugginess. We haven't been at this facility since 2013 but the food is still good, the pine trees are still shady and the people are still friendly.
What would a national be in the Carolina's without an appearnce by hometown hero Justin Posey? JP19 showed the Pro Open group the fast way around the track (we was the only one brave the soft pro set) and swept all three mains today. Rookie Cameron Moore was right there keeping him honest in the two spot

Just like last weekend, the Lil' Avalanche mowed down the comp and kicked the weekend off with a triple. The feat was even more impressive considering that her open and cruiser motos were only 8 motos apart. We even scored some of her cool stickers to boot.

Cyaa's Mayson Hayes pulled off the other triple tonight. The Denver, NC local had to fight from behind in Open to get the win but we're betting that no one else in the class has taken more laps around this track than he has. The experience certainly paid off and he can continue his quest for the perfect weekend tomorrow.

If you didn't catch the 15 X main today everyone except Spener Cole (Nag 3) and Cameron Bramer hit the deck. Bramer came out squeeky clean and was able to beat the new Florida resident Cole to the line.
Some weather is scheduled to move in sometime tomorrow and will make things a little more interesting for everyone tomorrow. Don't forget that you can listen live all day at www.usabmx.com/webcast and if weather permits we'll be shooting video of the mains and will be live on our facebook page. Stay Tuned!
