Check out our Facebook page Fundraiser for Richfield Park BMX!

For the 2019 race season at Richfield Park BMX, we have plans to make major changes to the 2nd and 3rd straights of the main track.  We also have planned to add a pump track to our facility.   Doing so will involve a financial investment beyond what we will need to start the season.  So, we have put in place a fundraiser on our facebook page with a goal to raise up to $10,000.  The target date to donate and raise contributions is April 24th.  What ever we can raise by that date will be applied to making the changes and possibly more.  The major project is to get the track ready prior to our scheduled SCR qualifier on Sunday June 9th.  With some luck, the change can be done on a good weather weekend.  We aren't going to mess around and try to do it on our own.   We have been in contact with a professional track builder and plan to use his services to get the job done.  Many racers who have come to our track have always told us how they feel the third straight is uphill.  That is one thing we plan to address along with a move of the pro jumps from the second straight to the third straight.

The closer we get to our fundraiser goal the more we can do.  So, whether you race at Richfield Park BMX or not, we would appreciate if you would share our facebook fundraiser (Richfield Park BMX) with friends and family.  And, if possible, you could make a donation to help us attain that heavenly goal we have set out to accomplish.  Should we get to that lofty amount, other less costly things in our plan book can take place.  From adding more surveillance cameras to watch the goings on to erecting some light poles over parts of the track that are tough for riders to race through during a night race.  Those are just a few things beyond our plans for the track upgrades.

While all the above are in our plans for the upcoming outdoor race season in Michigan, we also are in the process of taking the steps necessary to implement a Beginners League at our track this year.  The program seems to have proven itself at other tracks across the BMX nation. We also want to be a part of the resurgence of the best family sport around.

Please pass the word about our fundraiser.  We plan to make our track even more fun than it currently happens to be.  You can help us get there by both sharing our facebook fundraiser and/or also making a contribution.

We currently after a week have raised $730.  We will keep everyone posted on how we are doing.
